Created by Alphonse Mucha in 1897, this colour lithograph was originally designed as an in-house commercial calendar for the Parisian printing firm, F Chapenois. Due to the popularity of the artwork, the French magazine La Plume quickly published it as a standalone decorative panel. The woman is framed by a radiant halo symbolising universal harmony, while the warm pastels and dusted golds evoke an inward, reflective state of mind.
